Uma viagem e muito mais:
un viaggio e non solo!
un viaggio e non solo!
"If you travel and come back the same, you haven't been anywhere", a phrase that I always
repeat to myself before leaving, the perfect summary of the nature of these experiences.
Last month, I and 5 other students from our school left together with Mrs. Cataudella and Mrs.
Roccasalva for a week in Portugal, where with other guys from other countries we took part in the
Erasmus project “DIVERSE". The project was created to raise awareness of guys from all over the
world on the issues of sustainability, climate change and much more that is often not deeply
deepened in schools. We had the opportunity to discuss from many points of view, we helped
each other with the English language, and we got to know cultures and habits of different
countries.
Needless to say, it was a fantastic experience, this is obvious, yet something of this trip has remained, like a light. We know that we will bring this light inside us perhaps forever, that when someone pronounce the word "Erasmus" next to us we will smile like children; we have learned to live the experiences that fate has served us, to laugh out loud when in front of us we had a plate of pasta that surely could not be called "carbonara", and understand that outside our small village in the province of Ragusa there is something wonderful that is worth living and looking at with the eyes of those who still have a lot to discover. We sincerely hope that each of you will have an experience like this, because it's worth it.

A trip with mixed feelings: the fear ofleaving, not knowing what to expect, what the city would be like, the thousand questions that fill our minds; yet then everything disappears, the fear disappears, the questions disappear and the desire to stay there and the anguish to return home take their place. Because it is as if we had left a family there; pieces of heart scattered around the world, in Turkey, France, Croatia, Romania and Portugal.
